Donations of money

Blue Linux is the name of the project, and Blue Linux is what the distribution we create is called. In order to handle money donations, we set up a non-profit corporation, Blue Linux, Inc. (still in the process not final yet)

Although created by a volunteers throughout the world, Blue Linux has expenses that were, for a long time, paid for out of the pockets of Matt Jezorek. These expenses include registering the bluelinux.org domain, cutting CD's for testing new releases, unreimbursed travel and lodging expenses while appearing at conferences, etc.

While all donations are welcome, it especially hoped that any businesses that make money through Blue Linux (CD manufacturers, support companies, or even schools that rely on Blue Linux for day to day operations) will contribute to help make Blue Linux the best OS it can be.

If you would like to make a monetary donation to Blue Linux, please send a mail to donate@bluelinux.org and we will get in touch with you about the donation. Since Blue Linux Inc is a non-profit organization we can issue receipts for tax purposes.

Donations of equipment and services

Given the small budget Blue Linux runs on it is not possible, at this time, for Blue Linux to purchase and maintain it's own computers and network connections. We therefore rely on the donation of equipment and services from companies and universities to keep Blue Linux connected to the world.

If your company has any idle machines or spare equipment (hard drives, SCSI controllers, network cards, etc) lying around, please consider donating them to Blue Linux. Contact the donate@bluelinux.org for details.
